Camping & Caving at Raccoon Mountain

Is Chattanooga your destination for some great outdoor and indoor activities?  Raccoon Mountain should be part of your adventure!  We are located off Exit 174 on I24 just 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga and 10 minutes from Lookout Mountain.  Many guests stay here in RVs, tents, group tent sites or in our rustic cabins and take day trips to the Chattanooga area attractions.  You can call our Campground Office to make reservations for these accommodations at 424-821-9403 ext. 2 or visit our main site raccoonmountain.com for more information.

Larger educational, scouting or camp groups are invited to reserve one of 3 group camp sites.  If you don't have tents, our club house is available to rent.

Each group camp site has a water spigot (turned off in winter), fire pit, a cooking ring, and access to all campground amenities.  Bathrooms with showers are approximately 200 yards from the group camp sites.  Sites 1 and 3 have minimum of 15 and maximum of 35 campers.  Site 2 has minimum of 15 and maximum of 50 campers. Sites 1 and 3 are $100 per night if caving, $200 if not caving.  Site 2 is $150 per night if caving, $250 if not caving.

The club house sleeps up to 25 and requires a minimum of 15 campers.  It has 2 restrooms (no showers), refrigerator, stove, microwave and sink inside, plus access to campground amenities.  Price for renting the club house is $10 per person for the first night, $5 per person for each night after that.  A wild cave tour must be scheduled to rent the club house for sleeping.
